G. Blake Sams, founder and principal of Gregory Blake Sams Interiors, is an American designer known for creating layered, atmospheric residential, hospitality, and commercial environments. With offices in New York and Charleston, his studio merges classical references with contemporary clarity, resulting in spaces defined by intentionality. An event designer by trade, Sams brings a deep understanding of flow, hospitality, and narrative to his interior practice—ensuring every project considers how people move, gather, and experience their surrounding. His work has been featured in Vogue, Architectural Digest, ELLE Decor, Veranda, and Town & Country.
In addition to his design studio, Sams is the founder and creative director of Wentworth, a Charleston-based retail destination devoted to decorative objects, art, and curiosities. His work is shaped by an editorial sensibility and a layered material vocabulary—balancing romance and restraint, structure and softness. Through a precise handling of proportion, light, and texture, Sams creates immersive environments that honor context while pushing aesthetic boundaries, resulting in interiors that feel both timeless and unmistakably present.
Kayla Gallagher
SENIOR DESIGNER
Kayla Gallagher is an interior designer whose work sits at the intersection of architecture, materiality, and mood. With more than a decade of experience leading projects across seven countries, she brings both technical fluency and an intuitive understanding of how spaces are lived in. A graduate of Parsons School of Design, Kayla spent her early career at leading New York firms, overseeing residential and hospitality projects from concept to completion.
Her design language is tactile and deliberate, a dialogue between structure and feeling. She gravitates toward time-softened materials, vintage pieces, and sculptural lighting, layering them with intentional detail. Her industry network speaks to both a deep grasp of how spaces come together and an ease in bringing the right people to the table. Personable and exacting in equal measure, Kayla designs with an instinct for what matters and what lasts.
